My life changed the year I did the 6 Week Money Makeover, way back in 2008. I was in the first ever group Zoe ran. I had some huge outcomes at the end of the program: firstly, I decided to change my mindset around money and my lack thereof. Secondly I committed to focus on property investing as a tool for wealth creation and thirdly I made an intention to get involved in everything I could that related to finance and property.
Since then, I have probably attended either a paid or unpaid seminar, at least once a month for the past seven years. The only times I haven’t is when I’ve been travelling the world.
The best part is that after defining how I wanted my life to look, 80% has come true. And the last 20% is well and truly on the horizon.
So what is my vision? Property investing is my passion. I’ve brought four investment properties and have created a business plan to achieve another six. Knowing that I have a backup plan securely in place, means that if I hit any bumps in the road, life’s going to be AOK!
This means that I can keep being mad about travelling and experiencing the world and I am on track to buy acreage in the country and fulfil my childhood dream of having horses and starting an animal sanctuary.
Right now I’m fulfilling another dream of establishing my own coaching business. I have a Bachelor of Business/Marketing Degree and Master Practitioner of Coaching and have spent 15 years as either a Marketing Manager in Corporate Business or as a Business /Marketing Consultant, Coach and Trainer to Small Business Owners.
With a thousand hours of coaching and training experience, helping people and business succeed in the way that suits them is a passion of mine.
My biggest lessons are:
- It’s not how you handle the good times that count … it’s how you handle life’s challenges and, quite frankly, the s**t times that count.
- To think of money, not in terms of income and expenditure, but in terms of income and investments.
- Everything is an investment. Either in your health, your living, your education, your adventure and your assets. And if it’s not an investment consider it carefully.
- Know your outcome. Do a business plan for whatever it is you are interested in – for me, it’s property investing, as well as your career and your life.
- Operate from a place of excellence. Be organized, Be prepared and Be fabulous.
- Being single or married, neither should be seen as an excuse to your success in creating financial independence for yourself or your loved ones.
I’m so grateful for the fabulous work of 10thousandgirl and I look forward to a world where every human being has the financial and emotional freedom to live life to the fullest.
