Zoe Lamont has been involved in a number of social impact programs including being the founder of 10thousandgirl, a financial literacy program for women across Australia and Future Map, a financial wellbeing program for the workplace. A dynamic presenter, Zoe regularly appears in the Australian media speaking on the importance of planning and financial literacy, is a Fellow of the Australian School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), an Ambassador of MoneySmart Week, an Australian Government initiative to improve the financial wellbeing of all Australians and received MoneySmart Awards in 2012 & 2013 for outstanding examples of innovative and effective financial literacy approaches for women through her work with 10thousandgirl and graduates through her work with Future Map.

Zoe’s passion for seeing people take control of their life and finances stems from a chain of insights growing up in regional Australia, through time working on humanitarian projects in Zambia, Southern India and along the Thai-Burmese border and through involvement in the planning and development of various commercial, not for profit and political organisations in the UK and Australia. Each experience bringing to light how the world shifts in a positive direction each time a business or an individual has access to financial education and the time and tools to make a plan.

Zoe sits on the 10thousandgirl Board and manages the organisation day-to-day operations. She says she won’t stop until every woman and household across Australia has a plan for their life and finances, and until every woman and household around the world has access to education and tools like microfinance to enable them to be moving independently up the economic development ladder.

Each time a woman completes the 10TG 6 Step Money Makeover, $10 is contributed to providing a microplan to a woman living in extreme poverty to start a business.
